YOUR MISSION
As part of the Force Development team, you will directly influence the design and implementation of unique mission assets and gain experience at every phase of the spacecraft program including design, launch, on-orbit test and checkout, mission execution, and customer engagement. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a small team of integration specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Bring together different software systems, hardware, tools, and technologies use in various operational functions to ensure they can communicate and share data seamlessly.
- Integrate data sources from different departments or systems to provide a holistic view of the operations environment.
- Align operational processes across different departments or teams to eliminate redundancies, reduce delays, and improve overall efficiency
- Facilitate collaboration and communication between various teams that have their own goals and priorities but are working toward the same end-state
- Ensure that resources are allocated and utilized optimally across the different Mission Operations sections preventing overutilization or waste
- Integrate new processes, systems, or technologies into existing operations while minimizing disruption
- Integrate new technologies or software to enhance operational capabilities
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with integrating various components, tools, and people
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent industry experience
- Basic understanding of the space domain and orbital mechanics
- Experience making decisions in high pressure environments
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- MS degree in STEM
- Strong technical background in astrodynamics
- Operational experience with rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO)
- Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and oversee integration projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve integration challenges and to troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Knowledge of change management principles and techniques to guide teams through transitions caused by integration efforts
- Familiarity with tools used system integration and project management
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration and understanding
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure successful integration and alignment with team and strategic goals
- Leadership skills to guide teams, manage conflicts, and facilitate decision-making during integration projects
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, technologies, and business needs during the integration process
- Ability to analyze data and information to make informed decisions and to identify opportunities for optimization
COMPENSATION: $150,000-$170,000
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to maintain or obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- Schedule: Ability to work a rotating schedule
- Work Location – On-site in Colorado Springs, CO
- Work environment – the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
- Physical demands – the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
