The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning and control products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GPS, optical total stations, lasers, IMUs, and sonics. The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance.

In this intermediate role, you will be at the cutting edge of heavy industry technology, designing and implementing core C++ software for machine control systems. You will directly influence the precision and efficiency of earthmoving and paving equipment globally, working on products that connect the digital and physical worlds in real time.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
Pioneer the development of C++, Android, and web codebases for next-generation machine control applications.
Collaborate seamlessly with international domain experts and development teams to deliver measurable customer value.
Drive engineering excellence by applying fundamental software skills to ensure the predictability and quality of mission-critical products.
Design and maintain innovative positioning and control products that leverage technologies like GPS, lasers, and IMUs.
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience developing C++ applications.
Relevant tertiary qualification (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Mechatronics, or equivalent).
Strong drive for innovation, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and verbal/written communication skills.
Bonus Points For
Experience with Java/Android and/or a modern web framework, in particular Angular.
Familiarity developing on both Linux and Windows operating systems.
Practical experience in C++ unit testing and broader test automation.
Exposure to scaled agile environments.
