This role combines technical solution leadership, team management, and customer-facing expertise, managing a team with a deep understanding of Trimble Connect, civil BIM processes, and common data environments (CDEs) like Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bentley, and ESRI integrations. The Manager will be a key contributor to digital transformation efforts under Trimble's Unity Suite and Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Solutions Engineers focused on delivering connected BIM and ALM solutions to state government owners.

  • Set performance goals, monitor KPIs, and provide regular performance reviews and coaching.

  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Product, and Services teams to align go-to-market strategies and technical engagements.

Customer Engagement & Strategy Execution

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to owner clients, particularly DOTs, guiding them through BIM adoption and implementation of connected digital workflows.

  • Conduct and support value-based demonstrations, discovery sessions, and technical workshops related to civil BIM and Trimble Connect.

  • Support deal origination and strategic sales efforts by translating complex requirements into cohesive solutions using Trimble’s platforms.

Technical Solution Design & Enablement

  • Architect and communicate cross-platform workflows integrating Trimble Connect with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bentley, ESRI, and other tools.

  • Help define and deliver API integration plans and middleware solutions that ensure interoperability across owner-deployed systems.

  • Lead creation of reusable tools, templates, and workflows for ALM and connected project delivery.

Internal Collaboration & Innovation

  • Act as a key interface between the field and internal product teams, providing feedback to influence roadmap and workflow development.

  • Collaborate across AECO and Geospatial/Field teams to ensure alignment on civil construction and infrastructure initiatives.

  • Develop training and onboarding materials to ensure cross-team understanding of state government workflows and owner expectations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in the civil infrastructure or construction technology space, with a strong understanding of BIM and CDE platforms, asset management, and/or capital construction program and project management..

  • 3+ years of experience managing or mentoring technical teams in pre-sales or solutions engineering roles.

  • Proven expertise with Trimble Connect, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms (e.g., Bentley ProjectWise, ACC, or Aconex).

  • Demonstrated ability to align technical solutions with business value, supporting project delivery on time and on budget.

  • Deep knowledge of public owner needs, including DOTs, transportation agencies, and capital project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with open BIM standards (e.g., IFC), and using Trimble Connect as middleware between BIM authoring and GIS platforms.

  • Strong understanding of the entire Unity Suite, GIS-to-BIM data exchange, and asset lifecycle management principles.

  • Experience developing responses to RFPs, RFIs, and Scopes of Work (SOWs) for large government contracts.

  • Experience with project data management, survey and field data workflows, and API integration planning.

Success in This Role Looks Like:

  • Your team meets or beats your assigned supportive annual sales quota goals.

  • Your team enables DOTs and infrastructure owners to confidently see the vision to implement connected civil BIM workflows that span design, construction, and asset management.

  • You drive alignment between sales, product, and customer expectations by bridging the gap between technical complexity and business outcomes.

  • You help public sector teams use Trimble Unity suite of products and Connect, not just as a viewer, but as a true collaborative platform for model coordination, data integration, and workflow automation.

Why Join Us?

This is your opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation in the public infrastructure sector. You'll work directly with owners shaping the future of transportation and infrastructure delivery—ensuring smarter, more efficient, and more connected project outcomes.
