Job Summary
Trimble is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our dynamic Accounting team in Dayton, Ohio. This internship offers hands-on experience in processing and reporting financial data within our ERP systems, with a focus on general ledger functions. As an intern, you will support the Accounting team in various tasks and learn from experienced professionals in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with general ledger close activities in our ERP accounting system
Support the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses
Aid in the intercompany reconciliation process
Help ensure compliance with key SOX controls through routine tasks
Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial and management reporting packages
Collaborate with various teams including Cost Accounting, Corporate Accounting, and Controllers
Skills & Experience Required:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with a keen attention to detail
Basic understanding of GAAP principles
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
A proactive team player eager to learn and grow within the accounting field
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to Oracle or Netsuite ERP systems
Previous internship or relevant coursework in accounting
