Marketing Event Specialist

The Marketing Event Specialist position is key to the success of the Trimble Field Systems organization and requires a highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, cost-conscious and motivated person to serve as a lead for event planning, management, and production.
The events include regional and international trade shows, user groups, Trimble Dimensions annual user conference, etc. The Marketing Event Specialist will work closely with stakeholders across the organization and must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines. This individual must have a passion and some experience in event management, provide outstanding communication to our Trimble staff, vendors and overall Trimble community, be an enthusiastic professional, and be capable of building strong and positive relationships.
The event specialist will focus on creating opportunities for the sales team to engage with existing and potential customers and partners while providing a great experience for attendees.
Responsibilities:
Assist Marketing leaders with event marketing plans, objectives, and budgets. Manage within those approved plans. Collaborate with the marketing team on goals and messaging.
Manage a rolling 12-month calendar of internal and external trade shows and events.
Manage event logistics, including securing accommodation contingent, tradeshow services, stand building, shipping, staffing, and serving as primary onsite contact.
Work closely with Marketing Operations to track, analyze and report event ROI, including leads, CPL (cost per lead), CPA (cost per acquisition) and brand metrics.
Develop and administer various internal communication channels for stakeholder visibility and activation.
Create, update and manage events with planning tools, including iCapture (a lead capture tool), Project Management (Wrike), and Rainfocus (an event registration and attendee management tool).

Takes initiative to propose innovative ideas for event formats and engagement strategies, contributing to the overall success of the annual event calendar
High energy, positive-minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment managing large in-person and virtual events that create memorable experiences for the customers and staff involved
Detail-oriented with the ability, drive and desire to develop, manage and execute highly successful events
Experience influencing team members across all levels and business divisions
Experience managing agencies, freelancers and/or contractor talent
Experience managing budgets and contracts
Expert at keeping projects on time with reliable deliverability
Strong communication, writing, and editorial skills
Open-minded and able to synthesize multiple inputs
Experience managing international events from beginning to end
Requirements:
5+ years of proven experience managing complex events; both in-person and virtual
Experience working with teams that are dispersed geographically
Experience managing budgets and contracts independently
Expert at keeping projects on time with reliable deliverability
30% Travel
Language skills - fluent in English and German
