We are seeking a technical writer to join our documentation staff. The candidate will be responsible for editing and revising existing documentation and working with team members to research and develop new documentation. This documentation includes online help, knowledge base articles, boilerplate content, quick start guides, help videos, release notes, requirements, etc.
Responsibilities include
Create high-quality documentation to support users, business partners, and internal staff.
Maintain and regularly update documentation to ensure it is complete and accurate.
Understand and apply our style guide and best practices for content creation.
Collaborate across teams to effectively develop and maintain documentation.
Review documentation created by others to provide feedback and edits in order to improve the content and maintain consistency across writers.
Ensure consistent language, format, voice, style, and tone for all documentation.
Organize documents according to standards regarding terminology, style, order, clarity, and conciseness.
Requirements
BA/BS degree in technical writing or a related field, OR equivalent experience.
Solid understanding of structured writing techniques, style guides, and templates.
Ability to research and compile information from multiple sources.
Ability to explain complex processes in a clear and concise manner.
Attention to detail and high standards of quality.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and on a team.
Ability to manage multiple deliverables with tight deadlines.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience with MadCap Flare is a plus, but not required.
