What You Will Do
We are looking for a VAT analyst with accounting affinity. In this role you will take care of the monthly and quarterly VAT filings for all countries where Trimble BV has a VAT registration. Besides the VAT tasks you will assist the GL team during the monthly closing process. In this role you will report to the European Finance Manager and work closely with the International Tax Manager.
VAT tasks:
Data management for input on VAT filings.
Preparation of VAT data and filing for 3rd party VAT Consultants.
Coordinate VAT filing with 3rd party VAT Consultants.
GL tasks:
Work closely with Business Finance and local accounting teams.
Ensure US GAAP and internal compliance.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Report the numbers in a timely and accurate manner on a monthly and quarterly basis
Improve and develop VAT related processes in Oracle and Alteryx.
Develop reporting in Oracle for VAT compliance.
Advice internally on VAT matters.
Support ERP implementations for VAT related processes.
Support VAT audits in various countries.
Work with other Global process owners (Order to Cash, Corporate Sales Tax, data warehouse)
Work with the Accounting team to reconcile VAT accounts on a monthly basis
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong sense of responsibility.
Good level of speaking/writing in English; Dutch level nice to have
Experience in handling VAT in an International environment.
Experience in working with different foreign currencies.
Experience in working in a dynamic international environment.
Experience in working with Statutory Auditors and SOX Auditors.
Knowledge of Oracle, Netsuite and Google Sheets are beneficial.
Understanding of Alteryx or willingness to learn Alteryx and other automation software
Good excel skills
