As the Production Engineering Manager, you will serve as the cornerstone of technical excellence and operational leadership. Recognized as a subject matter expert, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering principles and high-performing production results. You won't just manage a team; you will act as a Multiplier, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will work independently under senior guidance to address complex situations that impact the organization beyond your immediate team. You are a leader who embodies a "Better Every Day" mindset, making the complicated understandable and executable for everyone around you.
What you'll do:
    • Lead and inspire a medium-sized team of individual contributors and supervisors, taking full responsibility for recruitment, performance reviews, and career development.
    • Identify and resolve high-level production challenges, orchestrating team resources to maximize efficiency and hit performance targets.
    • Apply advanced production engineering principles to streamline complex workflows and implement industry best practices.
    • Adjust departmental plans and priorities to meet shifting customer demands, ensuring team goals align with the broader organizational strategy.
    • Take full ownership of team performance, budget management, and overall production results.
    • Represent the production engineering function in high-level discussions, advocating for the team’s needs and resolving conflicts.
    • Translate technical production strategies into clear business value for senior leadership and external partners.
    • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to ensure stakeholder requirements are perfectly synced with organizational capabilities.
What you'll need:
    • Deep and broad subject matter expertise in production processes, acting as the "go-to" expert within the discipline.
    • Proven ability to apply production engineering principles to optimize complex manufacturing environments.
    • Demonstrated success in managing teams and budgets within a technical or manufacturing setting.
    • Relevant industry certifications aligned with the domain, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or specialized Engineering credentials.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a mentor and technical guide.
    • A solution-oriented mindset ("Start with Yes") and the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse stakeholders.
