As a Senior Technical Program Manager at TomTom, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional technical programs. You will work closely with engineering, product management, operations and other stakeholders to ensure alignment, manage risks, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead teams through ambiguity and complexity.
What you'll do:
  • Program Leadership: Lead end-to-end technical programs, from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Planning and Execution: Develop detailed program plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies. Track progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle. Proactively address challenges and remove roadblocks.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your technical knowledge to understand system architectures, dependencies, and trade-offs, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for program updates, providing clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve program management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What you'll need:
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in technical program management, preferably in a software or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong technical background, with a solid understanding of software development processes, system architectures, and cloud technologies.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex programs on time and within scope.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
