Internship Overview:
TomTom is seeking a motivated Software Engineer intern to join our Locations Platform organization. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in building TomTom’s Android and IOS Navigation SDK. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to learn and contribute to optimizing the software development lifecycle for our innovative location-based products.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions to support the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work on a full-scoped project during your internship that will be used by the teams/customers from design, implementation to troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field for the whole duration of the internship (September 2025 to February 2025).
- Experience in high-level programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or similar.
- Understanding of design patterns and object-oriented design.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Experience or interest in CI/CD and build tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with Android/iOS development is a plus.
