Join our team at Areas and Postal team, where we build innovative solutions to keep high quality areas and postal content in TomTom products. Our mission is to build the best world map products in the market.
As an intern, you’ll collaborate in our engineering team to develop and deliver large scale data processing systems, maintain and improve existing solutions and deliver meaningful changes to support our mission.
What you’ll do:
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement, test, and maintain exciting new features, ensuring successful delivery through teamwork and dedication.
  • Create comprehensive automated tests alongside your feature developments, taking pride in your work from inception to deployment, including addressing any defects.
  • Actively contribute to maintaining software quality and architectural integrity by designing modular and maintainable features and frameworks, executing refactoring improvements, and upholding high standards through code reviews.
  • Work closely with other teams within TomTom.
  • Thrive in a self-organizing, empowered team environment.
What you’ll need:
  • You are eligible to work for 32 or 40 hours per week for 6 months, starting from September 2025.
  • Registered in a university for the whole duration of the internship as a Computer science student or within a similar field.
  • Knowledge of computer science and algorithms fundamentals.
  • You have some knowledge and experience in Objected Oriented Design (OOD). Java or other modern OO language knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in cloud (AWS or Azure) and familiarity with DevOps is a plus.
  • Knowledge of macOS or Git would be advantageous.
