We are looking for a Senior Writer to join our Brand strategy and content creation team within the Marketing Department. This role requires a highly skilled writer with a strong background in B2B content creation and a deep understanding of TomTom’s core market segments, including automotive, enterprise, and geospatial technology. The ideal candidate will craft compelling, high-quality content that engages our audience across channels, strengthens our brand voice, and supports our marketing and business objectives.
What you'll do
- Develop high-quality written and video content for a variety of marketing channels, including website copy, whitepapers, case studies, blogs, reports, and thought leadership articles or short form copy such as social posts, emailers and more.
- Translate complex industry topics and technical product stories into clear, engaging, and informative content tailored for different audiences.
- Collaborate closely with product marketing, sales, and subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with business goals and market positioning. A small degree of stakeholder management is expected for this role.
- Maintain TomTom’s tone of voice and brand consistency across all written materials.
- Ability to analyze and understand industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform content strategy.
- Optimize content for SEO and digital distribution to maximize visibility and engagement.
- Support content strategy initiatives by identifying content gaps and opportunities.
Wha you'll need
- Proven experience (5+ years) in content writing, copywriting or journalism within a B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of TomTom’s key markets, including automotive, enterprise mapping, and location-based services. An affinity for tech would be an added advantage.
- Exceptional English writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
- Experience developing thought leadership and technical content for business audiences with strong research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear and compelling narratives.
- Familiarity with SEO, digital content marketing strategies, and content performance measurement.
- Ability to be organized, work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Based in Amsterdam and a team player.
