As part of the Map Compilation Team, you’ll tackle algorithmic challenges, simplify complex problems, and develop tools that ensure map precision and timely delivery. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a diverse environment that values growth, ownership, and teamwork.
What you’ll do
- Design, implement, and enhance map compilers in a cloud-based, distributed environment.
- Solve algorithmic and mathematical challenges to improve map accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable Java code, following industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and open communication.
- Develop solutions that address real-world customer problems with a logical, innovative mindset.
- Apply security-first thinking by integrating secure coding practices into daily work.
- Contribute to Agile workflows (Scrum, Kanban) to ensure timely and high-quality deliveries.
- Take initiative to simplify problems, learn continuously, and enhance existing solutions.
What you bring
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant practical experience (e.g., internships or student work roles).
- Proficiency in Java with a strong grasp of data structures and algorithms.
- A growth mindset: You’re curious, receptive to feedback, and committed to learning and improvement.
- A collaborative approach: You thrive in team settings, communicate clearly, and respect diverse perspectives.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps principles, such as CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and results-driven attitude.
- This position is based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Therefore, we can only accept candidates that already live in or already are in the process of relocating to the Netherlands.
Bonus skills
- While not required, experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Map compilation, routing algorithms, or geospatial data processing.
- Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG) and automation tools.
- Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.

In our team, you'll strive to find the best ways to compile, publish and/or stream terabytes of map content for critical cloud services, advanced autonomous vehicles and large innovative tech companies around the world.
