What you'll do
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage up to 10-15 software engineers, fostering professional growth and ensuring a healthy team dynamic.
  • Operational Excellence: Identify and solve complex problems, guiding team members to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Hands-On Involvement: Actively participate in the technical aspects of projects, providing hands-on support in coding, testing, and problem-solving as needed to ensure successful delivery.
  • Platform Integration: Manage and integrate multiple customer/partner platforms with TomTom SDKs and APIs to ensure robust functionality and alignment with client requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address complex issues, guiding team members through effective and practical solutions.
  • Agile Practices: Drive the adoption of agile methodologies within the team, ensuring that agile principles are effectively implemented to enhance collaboration, transparency, and iterative development.
  • Best Practices: Implement industry best practices to enhance the quality of products and processes.
  • Mentorship: Train and develop junior staff, facilitating their professional growth.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expertise and direction in complex scenarios, supporting employees and stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them without adding complexity.
  • Product Delivery: Own the long-term systems/product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Performance Management: Oversee team performance and career development, enhancing the overall experience for team members.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with Program Managers, Product Managers, and Technical Product Managers to align on requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Metrics Utilization: Use metrics to improve customer experience and software quality.
What you'll need
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a software management role with proven experience managing multiple teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with geospatial tools and techniques, including developing SDKs and APIs.
  • Decision Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach to leadership.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written abilities to inspire and resolve conflicts.
  • People Management: Passionate about coaching and managing teams with a hands-on approach.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working in a geographically distributed environment. of Geospatial Tools and techniques
  • Able to analyze data using appropriate methods, interpret results, and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making.
  • Possess moderate ability to process and analyze data, using statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns, and create more advanced visualizations to communicate insights
  • Exceptional mastery of verbal and written communication, the ability to inspire, motivate, and connect deeply with others, and the skill to resolve conflicts and facilitate meaningful dialogue.
  • Passion for people management and coaching
  • Willingness to own your work end-to-end and embrace other aspects of our Leadership Foundation
  • You should be comfortable working as a part of a geographically distributed team that prefers writing over virtual meetings.
  • Ability to write and speak English clearly and concisely.
