We’re searching for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about driving innovation and optimizing complex systems. If you love solving challenges, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and want to make a direct impact, this is the role for you!
What you'll do
- Boost performance: You’ll optimize our data systems to run highly parallel and more efficiently, to keep up with increasing data volume.
- Improve & maintain: Work on our real-time traffic data processing system. Extend our existing Java / Spring modular monolith and deploy changes to our Linux on Azure environment.
- Innovate: Bring new ideas to life, introducing cutting-edge solutions that redefine how we process and utilize data.
- Develop features: Work on refining existing features, ensuring smooth functionality and performance.
- Collaborate across teams: You’ll partner with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to implement impactful changes and improvements.
- Mentor & support: While leadership isn’t your primary focus, you’ll coach juniors and mediors, helping them grow and contributing to a positive, knowledge-sharing environment.
What you bring
- Proven expertise in optimization: Strong experience in tuning and enhancing complex software systems, particularly those that handle large-scale data.
- Innovative problem solver: You love simplifying complicated issues and coming up with fresh, scalable solutions.
- Strong technical foundation: Expertise in Java, C++, Scala, Python, or similar languages, with a in-depth understanding of algorithms, multithreaded data processing, and efficient system design.
- Collaborative approach: You’re comfortable working with different teams and communicating technical insights in a clear, accessible way.
- Mentorship mindset: You’re happy to coach less experienced team members, supporting their growth and encouraging best practices.
- Interested in traffic topics: Be ready to work with our one-of-its-kind real-time traffic dataset, identify know traffic patterns and help to provide better reports and also forecasts
