The automotive industry is undergoing generation changes in powertrain, connectivity, personalization, and on-board intelligence. Vehicles are becoming smarter, enabling a wide range of autonomous capabilities, from intelligent driver assistance to fully autonomous driving. TomTom is making this possible through a tightly integrated suite of content and software with the goal of making getting from one place to another efficient, comfortable, sustainable, and, most importantly, safe. A key element of our solution is support for Operational Design Domain (ODD)—the ability for automobile makers to fine-tune autonomous behavior based on real-world factors ranging from the obvious (time of day, weather, terrain, road features) to the more obscure (construction, glare, mapping detail, toll booths, overhanging vegetation, downed power lines, icing).
What you'll do
  • Become our in-house expert on ODD and maintain a comprehensive view of market situations (suppliers, offerings, terms)
  • Conduct product discovery, providing insights from business and customer perspectives
  • Create a compelling and clear vision, strategy and roadmap for the features and tools that unlock customer use cases and be accountable for execution and delivery
  • Work directly with multiple stakeholder teams, translating customer and feature needs into requirements for content, metrics, and processes
  • Consistently and effectively collaborate with engineering teams in the proposal and realization of Objectives and Key Results
  • Define clearly researched goals and measurement of success, drawing a clear connection between those metrics and overall product and company strategy
  • Operate in a self-directed way, executing with light supervision, effectively establishing yourself as the go-to-person and topic leader from the stakeholder perspective
What you'll need
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in geospatial , engineering, or automotive fields
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or similar field)
  • Familiarity with autonomous driving concepts, technologies, and regulations (preferred)
  • Experience or technical training in data science, analytics, or similar
  • Ability to understand and represent customer needs and requirements
  • Ability to coordinate people and technical resources from multiple areas within a company
  • Effective time management and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at the technical and senior executive level
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
