This role will partner effectively with our business partners, line managers, Works Council, People Services and various other functions within the TomTom people organization. You will work within a truly Global team with your colleague ER specialists (based in Amsterdam, Berlin, Belgium, Poland, USA and India) to support the TomTom growth strategy for the future. You will bring high quality, consistent, fair and clear advice on employee relations and legal compliance in TomTom’s approach to employees. This will be achieved through advising on internal HR policies and procedures, local labor law, and employee relations issues and having a constructive dialogue with our local Works Councils.
What you'll do
  • Design and support TomTom’s (under) performance management approach
  • Be a contact person for local Site Management, Works Councils, and Trade Unions (if applicable) on all aspects of the People agenda to ensure we nurture and develop the TomTom DNA throughout our work environment and people processes
  • Act as the point of contact when employees have work-related concerns
  • Carry out restructurings or reorganizations
  • Support with individual cases such as illness, conduct, underperformance and terminations
  • Coach and guide our managers and employees on conflict handling, mediations and grievances
What you'll need
  • Have good knowledge of International employment laws. In any case knowledge within EMEA
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Have extremely strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Can objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • You are fluent in written and verbal English
  • You can operate and drive results and set priorities independently
