As the Head of Social Media for TomTom, you will be responsible for developing the company’s social media strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement and lead generation in the B2B space. You will lead a team of social media experts and work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales and communications, to align social media efforts with overall business goals. Your role will involve crafting social media plans, curating content, co-creating content, analyzing data and insights and optimizing social media campaigns to achieve measurable results
The impact you'll make
  • Social media strategy: Develop, implement and lead a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the overall marketing and business objectives of TomTom. This includes setting clear goals, identifying key social media platforms to reach our target audience, and creating a content calendar.
  • Content creation: Develop engaging and relevant content for social media channels, including written, visual and multimedia content. Collaborate with our internal agency to curate and repurpose content, ensuring consistent messaging and brand guidelines are followed.
  • Social media management: With the help of your team, oversee the day-to-day management of social media platforms, including scheduling and publishing posts, monitoring and responding to comments and messages, and managing social media advertising campaigns.
  • Analytics and reporting: Implement social reporting and analytics strategy, oversee regular analytics and performance reports, and manage key stakeholders. Use data to optimize social media strategies and tactics.
  • Team leadership: Lead a team of social media specialists, providing guidance and feedback to optimize team performance. Foster collaborative and inclusive team culture and provide professional development opportunities to team members.
  • Collaboration and coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, communications, and other stakeholders. You’ll align social media efforts with broader marketing and business goals. Coordinate with external vendors, agencies and partners as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends: Stay updated with the latest social media trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the B2B space. Identify new opportunities and recommend innovative social media strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Social media Branding and reputation management: The head of social media plays a key role in managing TomTom’s social media branding and reputation. You’ll ensure that social media profiles and content are consistent with the brand's voice, tone and visual identity, understanding how to align these with our business and brand goals.
What you'll need
  • 10+ years of experience in social media strategy and management, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing and sales processes.
  • Interest in technology brands and marketing
  • Deep understanding of how to identify, grow and leverage social channels for B2B audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience in content creation for social media platforms.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity, innovation, and the ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with varying needs.
