Spacecraft AIV Senior Engineer

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
We want you as a talented and experienced Spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Verification (AIV) Senior Engineer to help us in our mission by closing the system level verifications done on the spacecraft test models (e.g. Structural Test Model, Proto-Flight Model) through defining, preparing and driving the associated system level test campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as Spacecraft AIV Senior Engineer, your role will continuously evolve, but initially your day to day duties will include:
Ensure the definition and implementation of the Nyx Earth spacecraft Proto-Flight AIV activities which meets technical and programmatic requirements and considers the adequacy of model philosophy, facilities availability, planning and costing.
Define test plans and specifications with clear Success Criteria and support the generation of test procedures with the the Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test (MAIT) team / the test facility team.
Drive the preparation, organisation and execution of the spacecraft Proto-Flight Model test campaign.
Support the preparation, organisation and execution of the spacecraft Structural Test Model campaign especially for functional tests.
Organise the different test reviews such as Test Readiness Review, Post Test Review and Test Review Board.
Generate tests reports and drive the closure of the Items for Verification and Validation covered by the test campaign.
Collaborate with the Vehicle Design Team and the MAIT team to prepare and perform the tests.
Process the anomalies occurring during the test campaign in coordination with the Product Assurance Team and the rest of the Engineering Team.
What we would love to see from you
In the role of Spacecraft AIV Senior Engineer ideally, you will have the following:
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another related field.
5 to 10 years of experience in systems design, analysis, and testing of aerospace or space-related systems, with a focus on full spacecraft testing.
Hands-on hardware experience.
Environmental testing for space hardware.
Experience in the development and verification of space hardware.
Spacecraft systems knowledge.
