We want you as a talented Fracture Control Engineer to help us in our mission by contributing to the development, justification and validation of our vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as Fracture Control Engineer, your duties will include:
Implement fracture control requirements as per the applicable standards.
Provide expertise in fracture control processes as used in the design, development, test, evaluation, and processing of aerospace hardware.
Demonstrate compliance of flight hardware against established fracture control requirements.
Advise on the solution of fracture control related problems.
Participate in technical reviews as required.
Participate in the effort of identifying anomalies and serve as a technical expert providing engineering recommendations, as required for resolution of any associated problems or issues.
What we would love to see from you
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
In-depth knowledge of fracture control.
Good understanding of the risks associated with Fracture Classifications.
Knowledge of fracture control mechanisms (fatigue, creep, failure modes, etc.)
General knowledge of engineering materials (metals and composites) as well as a basic understanding of engineering systems (fasteners, pressure vessels, etc.) and Non-destructive Evaluation (NDE) techniques.
General knowledge of materials and processes that influence materials performance (heat treatment, welding, forming, etc.)
Understanding of ESA and NASA standards for fracture control and materials and processes.
Familiar with ESACRACK/NASGRO.
Fracture Mechanics knowledge.
Experience with additive manufacturing is an asset.

Fluent in English. Knowledge of German, French and Italian is an asset.
