Terran Orbital is seeking a motivated and experienced PCBA/PWBA Technician - Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) at our Irvine, CA location. As an PCBA Technician – AOI, the candidate will work within a multidisciplinary incoming inspection team to provide critical quality assurance on space hardware.

This role is on our Weekend shift (Friday-Sunday) from 6:00AM – 7:00PM

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• AOI Technician shall be responsible for operating AOI Machine/Equipment in the PCBA Production floor with a strong technical understanding of Industry Standards (IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001).
• Review & validate all defects flagged during the Machine's inspection while reporting trending items to the respective Engineer for program/process improvement.
• Record and enter confirmed defects into the MES system for traceability.
• Perform visual inspection on the solderability and cleanliness on the printed circuit board per Industry standards
• Support other non-technical operations on the printed circuit board when time permits.
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the printed circuit industry
• Minimum two (2) years' programing & operating AOI equipment
• Understanding of industry (IPC) standards and the application thereof
• Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and customers
• Must be able to work with little supervision

Salary Range $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.

Work Environment

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
