Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planning Intern to join our growing team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Production Planning, the Supply Chain Planning Intern will have an incredible opportunity to shape the outcome of our commercial and defense space capabilities and develop engineering skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Review directed Supply Chain processes to identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes and supporting documentation
- Develop and analyze required data for ERP system
- Coordinate the gathering and validation of required Supply Chain data across Inventory, Purchasing, and Planning
- Drive continuous improvements to focus on cost and labor reduction in every element of the Planning and Supply Chain process
- Support space hardware production, including new processes and equipment
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or post-graduate degree program in an Supply Chain, Business, or other related discipline and have at least one semester of classes remaining after the internship
- Ability to work full-time, on-site for 10 to 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2025
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and team project experience is applicable)
- Highly self-motivated and organized with strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to work well in an integrated team, including daily interactions with Inventory Staff, Buyers, Planners, and Managers
- Local to Irvine, CA for the summer of 2025
Additional Differentiators
- LEAN training including process mapping, spaghetti diagrams, time studies, work cell balancing, pareto charts, and process control plans
- Experience with ERP or MRP system or databasing software
Salary range: $25.00 - $35.00

Physical Demands
An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.
Work Environment
The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
