Sylvera provides trusted ratings, tools and data for carbon credits and CDR. Our mission is to incentivize investment in real climate action.

Purchasing carbon credits and CDR through the carbon markets is one of the most established and scalable ways to channel finance to effective climate solutions and work toward societal net zero. Unfortunately, the carbon markets were plagued with mistrust and a lack of effectiveness since they’ve emerged – until Sylvera.

To help organizations ensure they're making the most effective investments, Sylvera provides trusted ratings, tools and data for carbon credits and CDR. Our data and software independently and accurately validates the impact of carbon projects that capture, remove, or avoid emission whether they are up and running, or in development. Our data and tools allow users to optimise both the climate and economic performance of projects as well as understand the past and future of the market. With Sylvera, businesses, governments and developers can confidently invest in, benchmark, deliver, and report real climate impact.

Our team is made up of leading minds in climate change from science to policy, finance, and carbon markets. We work in partnership with scientific organizations, universities, governments, and think tanks to develop and implement rigorous and holistic project assessment methodologies, leveraging the latest technology. We also partner with actors and institutions across the whole market to make data higher quality, more standard and more accessible. Founded in 2020, Sylvera has 130+ employees globally with offices in London, New York, and Singapore. We’ve raised over $96 million from leading investors like Fidelity, Balderton Capital, Index Ventures, and Insight Partners to date.

What will I be doing? ‍‍👩‍💻👨‍💻

We’re looking for a mission-driven Technical Climate Consultant to join our go-to-market function and collaborate to deliver on commercial goals and further our climate impact. The Technical Climate Consulting team at Sylvera are a presales-focused team who translate Sylvera’s technical data, products and services into value for our customers. Climate consultants have an understanding of carbon market dynamics, market trends, and Sylvera’s product, and use this knowledge to connect the dots between our customer needs and Sylvera’s products and services. We are collaboration-focused, and partner deeply with internal and external stakeholders and clients.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Act as a strategic partner to the sales team, understanding customer requirements and designing solutions that help customers generate and capture value from Sylvera’s data and products

• Collaborate with sales to support deal progression, client acquisition, and long-term account success

• Develop and deliver compelling technical and commercial narratives that resonate with C-level and VP-level executives, addressing net-zero strategies and carbon market objectives

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by deeply understanding their carbon market maturity and providing tailored, strategic guidance

• Translate complex technical insights into clear business outcomes for diverse customer audiences

We’re looking for someone who: 🧠💚

• Has 3–4 years of experience working on cross-functional teams delivering sustained results for large, sophisticated clients, ideally across Latin America

• Brings experience from roles such as sales engineering, consulting, solution architecture, or technical account management

• Has 1–2 years of experience in climate policy, carbon markets, or a closely related field

• Is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish

• Has a proven track record in client-facing roles that connect technical products to tangible business value

• Thrives on close collaboration with both internal teams and customers to uncover needs and unlock meaningful value

• Is comfortable working autonomously across multiple concurrent projects, while proactively coordinating and “quarterbacking” resources to drive outcomes

• Cares deeply about the climate and ecosystems of the earth

• Is a self-starter who performs well in fast-paced, evolving environments — early-stage or scale-up experience is a plus

Location 🌍

Sao Paulo, Brazil (hybrid). We work flexibly but encourage people to work alongside each other regularly, and to meet in person for team meetings, 1-2-1's, and divisional meetings.
