HummingSat has recently been selected by Inmarsat to build three I-8 satellites and in 2022 by Intelsat to build the I-45 satellite. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Act as the deputy of the SWISSto12 IT Manager,
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, swiftly resolving issues related to software, IT hardware, and networking. Utilize your experience in handling complex IT environments,
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to implement strategic IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency, drawing on previous experience in deploying similar solutions across multiple bases and organizations,
- Manage the setup and configuration of, network equipment, endpoints and peripheral devices, ensuring all installations align with the IT strategy. Facilitate and maintain the physical and software setup of the IT systems for employees, partners, and facilities,
- Maintain documentation of IT inventory, support requests, and user interactions, ensuring a seamless flow of information and resource tracking,
- Ensure cyber security compliance, implement and maintain systems and protections with reference to national and international IT standards,
- Engage with multiple teams on exciting projects and technology rollouts, contributing to cross-functional initiatives with a focus on enhancing IT infrastructure,
- Occasionally, you will be asked to participate in general tasks and services inherent to a dynamic fast-growing company,
Required experience and competencies:
- 5 or more years of experience in IT support roles, with a strong background in providing high-level support in demanding and varied environments, as evidenced by previous roles in international settings and diverse industries.
- Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, other tech products, and a keen ability to adapt these skills to support advanced aerospace technologies,
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment,
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a history of effectively managing complex technical issues and a proactive approach to finding solutions,
- HES or Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology or similar,
- Language: Full professional proficiency in both English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- ITIL knowledge would be a plus
