Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security.

To achieve these great efforts, Stratolaunch needs a Project Scheduler to aid with managing the Stratolaunch projects.

As a Project Scheduler, you will contribute to management of the Stratolaunch projects through development and tracking of resource loaded schedules. You are responsible for working with all aspects of the company and its associated projects, including planning various aspects of the design, development, manufacture, and testing phases. This position includes evaluation of a broad range of technical data. Candidates must have an experienced aerospace development background, experience with technical planning, and relevant experience in systems development. This position is based in Mojave, CA.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop the resource loaded plan for the company’s various projects
  • Contribute to budget management for the company’s various projects
  • Keep the team current regarding its upcoming activities and deadlines
  • Manage the engineering schedule for all of engineering and its projects
  • Develop tools, as needed, for analysis to complete their tasking.
  • Perform schedule based risk analysis on the company’s projects
  • Help evaluate risks and risk mitigation plans to determine if the risks are appropriate and risk mitigations are adequate
  • Regular and comprehensive communication to the Hypersonics Program Director on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Contribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems
  • Travel, as needed, to support the Director and/or the department
  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments

Required

  • Knowledge of, and experience with, one or more of these disciplines: systems engineering, project management, launch vehicle integration
  • Experience with technical aerospace leadership, including working with sub-contractors
  • Experience with requirements development, with a focus on interface management
  • Experience with risk management
  • Facilitation skills and ability to communicate technical challenges and guidance to varied audiences to gain support or resolve concerns
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and prioritize tasking to fit within the business goals
  • Complex aerospace system development
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities

Preferred

  • Launch vehicle development experience
  • Experience with government agencies
  • Experience with air-launch programs
  • Security clearance

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Senior Program Scheduler ($117,000 - $153,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) and 5-10 years of experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Staff Program Scheduler ($152,500-$200,000): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) and 10-20 years of experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Principal Program Scheduler ($175,500-$230,400): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) and 20+ years of experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Mojave Air & Spaceport is located 95 miles north of Los Angeles.
