Technician (Mechanisms)
In this role you will support Starpath’s efforts to build humanity’s first industrial base in space by owning the build and test of our proto-flight hardware. We are looking for skilled technicians with high ownership who are looking to grow their career into leadership roles.
Responsibilities
Assemble structures using standard aerospace tooling (torque wrenches, drivers, etc.)
Weld structures (MIG and TIG)
Assemble precision dynamic assemblies including electric power trains, hinges/linkages, seals, etc.
Provide clear and concise DFA feedback to engineers to improve production speed and reliability
Own purchasing, setup, and operation of test equipment (ie. vibe tables, vacuum chambers, etc.)
Performing component assembly inspections with appropriate documentation
Define production standards and processes for speed and reliability
Maintain a safe working environment for the production team
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in an aerospace production environment
Exceptional oral communication skills
Exceptional dexterity with hands
Knowledge and experience using and maintaining standard hand tools
Experience using standard power tools
Ability to stand for for 8+ hours per day
Ability to lift heavy objects
A desire to make Humans a multi-planet species
Preferred Qualifications
5 + years of experience in an aerospace environment

Position Details
Location: Los Angeles - Hawthorne
Salary base rate is $55k-$100k/yr, plus equity package; compensation scales with candidate experience
