Title: Printed Circuit Board Technician

Job Type: Full Time - 100% Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the build, assembly, test and troubleshooting of custom electronics.
  • Solder both surface mount and through-hole components and using basic electrical tools.
  • Responsible for setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment while adhering to pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications.
  • Handle everything from precision wiring to custom PC assembly, production inspection, testing, and certification for various custom hardware builds.
  • Innovate and adapt, relying on knowledge and creativity to problem solve issues and work with engineering on solution implementation.
  • Some training can be provided assuming the candidate comes in with a familiarity of systems and is driven to learn.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 or more years of experience in electronics/printed circuit board assembly.
  • Experience with and the ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
  • Ability to solder both surface mount and through-hole components
  • Successful completion of an onsite soldering assessment
  • Candidate should be organized and able to work under limited supervision in a highly technical environment.

Preferences:

  • Certification from a technical school preferred.
  • Familiarity with NASA workmanship standards STD8739, J-STD-001, or IPC-A-610E preferred
  • Familiarity with IPC J-STD-001 Certification for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies
