Starfish Space provides satellite servicing missions with its Otter servicing vehicle, including life extension missions for geostationary satellites and disposal missions for low Earth orbit satellites. Starfish has launched several missions to-date, and is focused on delivering Otter satellite servicing missions for SES, the U.S. Space Force, the Space Development Agency, NASA, and others.
Position Description
Starfish Space is looking for an office admin to support internal logistics and operations. This is a unique opportunity to get exposure to a wide variety of functions within a rapidly growing startup.
This is a tactical role that will support the operations team in areas like:
- Office management and logistics (order snacks, support deliveries & onsite meetings)
- Recruiting coordination & HR admin (schedule & support interviews, data entry)
- Workplace morale (support employee birthday celebrations & morale events)
- Catering management and logistics (weekly lunch catering, other event catering)
- Facility vendor management (support facilities work with electricians, janitors, or regarding office renovation and repairs )
- Miscellaneous tasks across all operational functions
Qualifications
- Must be a US person (citizen or permanent resident)
- Willing to work from Tukwila, Washington
- Capable of working a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment where job tasks may change regularly
- Excellent written and verbal skills along with a high level of professionalism and integrity
- Able and willing to perform manual facilities tasks, including lifting heavy objects, responding to maintenance issues, etc.
ITAR Requirements To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
