ELECTRO-MECHANICAL BUILD & TEST TECHNICIAN (STARSHIP AVIONICS)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mechanical / electrical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis
  • Builds and tests small electrical sub-assemblies
  • Builds and tests optical equipment
  • Supports conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating
  • Runs functional testing on units
  • Harnesses routing onto avionics assemblies
  • Supports vibe and thermal development tests
  • Performs HASS testing of assemblies built in the area

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of experience using mechanical hand tools
  • 1+ years of professional technician experience in electronics

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree
  • Conformal coat support experience utilizing NVOC, Urethane, Acrylic and Silicone based CC
  • Experience maintaining and programming of PVA Conformal Coat system
  • Current or past certification for NASA-STD-8739.3, IPC-610 or equivalent
  • Experience preferred in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy
  • Experience building electromechanical components
  • Experience with thermal and vibe testing
  • Experience with harness routing and integration

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed. Estimated shift time: 1st shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

  • Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician/Level 1: $22.00 - $27.00/hour
  • Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician/Level 2: $25.00 - $32.50/hour
  • Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician/Level 3: $30.00 - $38.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
