At SpaceWorks Enterprises, we specialize in next-generation high-speed flight systems, human and robotic spacecraft, as well as entry, descent, & landing technologies. Our core competencies include conducting preliminary design of aerospace concepts, performing detailed multidisciplinary engineering analysis, developing commercial aerospace software, prototyping spacecraft hardware components, and conducting market and economic research within the aerospace industry. We serve clients from the Department of Defense, NASA, and the commercial sector.

Currently, we are seeking an Aerodynamicist within our Aerosciences team. The position is located in Atlanta. GA. US Citizenship is required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Design of next generation high-speed vehicles including hypersonic atmospheric vehicles, Earth-to-orbit launch systems, and atmospheric re-entry
• CFD setup, analysis, and post-processing of inviscid and viscous flow simulations
• Aerodynamic configuration development including aerosurface and aerodynamic control surface design
• Aerodynamic loads, performance, stability and aerothermal analysis at multiple fidelity levels including empirical sizing methods, shock & impact methods, and CFD

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace Engineering or similar
  
• Experience with aerodynamic design and optimization
• Experience in computational fluid dynamics
• Experience with data visualization software
• Experience with scientific computing and scripting languages
  
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE...

• 5+ years of experience in vehicle aerodynamics analysis
• Active DoD Secret Clearance
  
• Experience with multidisciplinary design optimization of aerospace vehicles
• Experience working on both Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience in any of the following specific software environments:
  • Geometry Generation: Engineering Sketch Pad
  • Mesh Generation: Pointwise
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics: Cart3D, Fun3D
  • Data Visualization: ParaView, TecPlot
  • Scripting: Python, Bash
