IT Infrastructure Development: Work with Head of Digital Systems and IT, as well as the wider team to design, implement, and maintain a scalable and secure IT infrastructure that supports the rapid growth of the organisation.
Outsourced IT Managed Service Provider: Ahead of (potentially) bringing our IT department in house, you will work with the Head of Digital Systems and IT to set up an MSP contract, with well defined SLAs ensuring that Space Solar receives the required level of support. You will be the primary point of contact and escalation point for the MSP and internet / external customers.
Helpdesk Management: Lead helpdesk outsource managed services to provide timely and effective solutions to end-users’ technical issues. Ensure MSP delivers agreed service levels and agreed KPIs.
Hardware and Software Procurement: Manage the procurement of IT hardware and software, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compatibility with the organisation’s needs.
Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard the organisation’s data and systems against threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Operational Policy Implementation: Ensuring that all Space Solar’s policies are implemented, maintained & adhered to.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Ensure the backup and disaster recovery plans are adhered to – minimising downtime in case of IT failures or emergencies.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and negotiate contracts when necessary.
Training and Documentation: Develop training programs and create documentation to enhance the IT knowledge and skills of end-users and IT staff.
