We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quality Engineer with proven expertise in control components, valve assemblies, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, cryogenic systems, and precision manufacturing.
The role involves leading quality assurance initiatives, ensuring process integrity, product reliability, and compliance with international aerospace standards. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across inspection, process validation, supplier quality, and team guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure first-time-right product realization, delivering high-quality products for flight programs.
Quality assurance during qualification and functional testing of various fluid control systems, including valves and flow-control assemblies, along with pressure testing and helium leak testing of aerospace systems.
Review of engineering drawings and technical reports such as QAPs. QARs, SOPs, TRDs, PDRs, etc.
Perform detailed test data analysis and implement technical improvements, enhancing product reliability and performance.
Preparation of Quality assurance presentations for various technical form, Quality assurance report (QARs), Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) for machining, fabrication, welding, component assembly, and additive manufacturing.
Preparation & execution of Failure Mode Effect and criticality Analysis, Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis to resolve nonconformities and improve process performance.
Mentor and guide junior QA/QC engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of quality excellence.
Manage supplier quality audits, vendor capability assessments, and ensure quality compliance for procured components and valve parts.
Supervise calibration and verification of inspection tools, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
Support customer audits, QMS certification audits, and maintain complete documentation of inspection and quality records.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Expertise in assembly and integration of various aerospace components, flow-control valves and sub systems, tanks, and propulsion subassemblies.
Strong understanding of precision machining and aerospace-grade manufacturing.
Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
Hands-on experience with CMM, Micrometres, gauges, and knowledge of NDT methods (UT, PT, RT, LPT).
Familiar with WPS, PQR, WPQ and welding inspection documentation.
Working knowledge of ERP tools (SAP / Oracle / equivalent) and quality data analytics via MS Excel or Power BI.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process improvement methodologies.
Understanding of international standards like AS9100D, AWS D17.1, ASTM, and ISO related to aerospace and valve systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline.
Experience in aerospace, valve manufacturing, cryogenic systems, and precision machining environments.
