Job Description

Job Description:

As a LabVIEW Engineer in the I&C-GRP-1 team, you will be responsible for developing automated test systems, data acquisition interfaces, and instrumentation software using National Instruments (NI) platforms. You will support the development and execution of test and validation setups for avionics systems, ensuring reliable performance of both ground and flight systems in the aerospace domain.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain LabVIEW-based test applications for automated functional, environmental and integration testing of avionics systems.
  • Interface with NI PXI, CompactDAQ, CompactRIO and other NI platforms to automate the test and acquire/log real-time data.
  • Create modular, scalable, and maintainable code following NI best practices and coding standards.
  • Design test sequences and automation workflows using NI TestStand (if applicable).
  • Collaborate with hardware, embedded and integration teams to define test setups and validation requirements.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of data acquisition systems.
  • Perform calibration, signal conditioning, and sensor integration for lab and field tests.
  • Support HIL/SIL test bench development, validation and documentation.
  • Ensure proper documentation including test procedures, test reports and source control compliance.
  • Participate in lab testing, debugging, and troubleshooting during system integration and pre-flight campaigns.


Skills Required:

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with NI LabVIEW (CLAD/CLD preferred).
  • Experience in various LabVIEW design patterns (Simple/event based State machine, event/data driven producer consumer, master slave, Queued message handler etc.)
  • Familiarity with NI hardware platforms such as USB DAQ, CompactDAQ, CompactRIO and PXI chassis).
  • Basic knowledge of NI TestStand and test sequencing (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience in sensor integration (temperature, pressure, strain, accelerometers).
  • Understanding of signal conditioning, analog/digital IO and data acquisition principles.
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols (TCP, UDP, CAN, RS232/422/485, SPI, I2C).
  • Exposure to aerospace systems, embedded electronics or real-time testing is a plus.
  • 1-3 Years of hand-on experience

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Avionics, or related disciplines.
