Job Description:
As an SCM Associate at Skyroot Aerospace, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, overseeing subcontractor relationships, and ensuring a seamless supply chain to support our aerospace production. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, parts, and services necessary for our space exploration projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Purchasing:
- Execute procurement activities to source materials, components, and services required for aerospace projects.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Ensure timely procurement to meet production schedules, avoiding delays and cost overruns.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Monitor market trends and recommend adjustments to purchasing strategies based on cost analysis.
- Execute procurement activities to source materials, components, and services required for aerospace projects.

Subcontracting Management:
- Identify and engage with subcontractors for specialized services or parts that cannot be sourced in-house.
- Oversee the subcontracting process, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify subcontractor requirements and specifications.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, resolving issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices and ensure alignment with contracts.
- Identify and engage with subcontractors for specialized services or parts that cannot be sourced in-house.

Inventory & Logistics:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, subcontractor agreements, and related documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure a continuous supply of critical materials while avoiding excess inventory.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support production needs.

Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Support budgeting and cost control initiatives by tracking expenditures related to purchases and subcontracting.
- Assist in preparing reports on procurement costs, subcontractor performance, and material usage for management review.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or subcontracting, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, subcontracting, and contract management.
- Experience in negotiating with vendors and managing supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate cost-saving initiatives.
