Job Description: Seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer with profound LabVIEW expertise for Skyroot Aerospace's on-board Avionics module development and testing. This individual contributor role requires designing, implementing, and testing Avionics modules for launch vehicles. Join us in shaping the future of aerospace technology!
Skills / Requirements: Bachelors / Masters in Electronics Engineering or equivalent (ECE / EEE / EIE / Mechatronics) with 1- 4 years of relevant work experience.
Instrumentation & Controls Knowledge:
• Good understanding of circuit theory & instrumentation concepts including Kirchoff’s laws, RLC circuits, OpAmps, ADCs, sources of noise, EMI/EMC best practices etc.
• Basic understanding of signal processing concepts including: Nyquist sampling theorem, Frequency domain analysis, Digital filtering techniques
• Good understanding of Control theory including, LTI systems, transfer functions, Negative feedback, PID control, impulse response, step response etc. LabVIEW
Expertise:
• Equivalent to or greater than 1 year of professional LabVIEW based development
• Ability to wholly develop a moderate scale LabVIEW project (~20-50 SubVIs) on your own
• Good understanding of LabVIEW’s data flow paradigm of programming
• Strong inclination towards architecture-centric thinking, scalability, readability
• Prior experience with Serial port programming, TCP/IP programming desirable.
• Prior experience of Data Acquisition & Instrument Control (programmatic control of Oscilloscopes, SpecAn, FGen, etc.) highly desirable
• Prior experience with NI Compact RIO platform desirable • CLD certification desirable

• Methodical work culture, documentation & tracking is a must
• Articulate written & verbal communication
• Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding start-up atmosphere
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on complex problems
• Passion for advancing the commercial space industry in India
Responsibilities:
• Design, development, and testing of Instrumentation & Control software based on LabVIEW that goes either onto on-board systems or onto test systems for launch vehicle requirements.
• Gather and implement requirements for instrumentation & control software.
• Work closely with systems engineers to implement instrumentation / control / automated test functionalities as needed for the mission.
