The role
As Bid & Account Manager, you will own and improve the quality of SkyGeo’s proposals, tenders and client response documents. This is a focused role for someone who can turn complex inputs from technical, commercial and operational teams into clear, persuasive and well-structured submissions.
The core of the role is proposal writing and coordination, embedded within the broader business development and account management process. You will contribute not only to high-quality submissions, but also engage in client interactions before, during and after opportunities — helping to clarify needs, shape responses, and support ongoing relationships.
You will work across business development, consulting, engineering and leadership, with exposure to client discussions and commercial processes, to help SkyGeo respond to opportunities with greater clarity, consistency and win readiness, while supporting continuity into longer-term client engagement.
What you will do
Tender Management
· Identify and evaluate relevant tender opportunities globally
· Lead end-to-end tender processes (RFPs, RFQs, proposals)
· Coordinate input from technical, legal and commercial teams
· Write clear, compelling proposals that communicate SkyGeo’s value
· Ensure quality, compliance and timely submission
· Continuously improve proposal quality, structure and consistency
Account Management
· Own and develop relationships with key clients across your opportunities
· Act as a primary point of contact for client communication
· Engage with clients before, during and after tenders to understand needs and drive follow-up
· Identify opportunities for upsell, renewal and long-term collaboration
· Translate client needs into internal actions and align teams accordingly
Job requirements
What you’ll bring
· Proven experience with proposals, tenders, bids or RFP responses
· Excellent writing and communication skills in English. Ability to write in Dutch is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines without losing accuracy
· Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and turn input into clear, structured outputs
· Confidence handling technical subject matter, even if you are not a domain specialist
· Experience in client-facing roles, account management, or commercial interaction is a plus
· Commercial awareness: ability to understand client needs and translate them into winning proposals
Nice to have
· Experience in engineering, infrastructure, geoscience, consulting or technical services
· Familiarity with public-sector or enterprise tender processes
· Experience building reusable proposal content or improving bid workflows
· Experience in client-facing roles or working closely with account management teams
· Understanding of commercial processes or business development environments
