About SiTime

SiTime is the Precision Timing company. Timing is the heartbeat of all electronics, ensuring performance, resilience and scalability. For decades, quartz devices, non-silicon technology, have kept systems in sync, but they struggle in harsher, more demanding environments. MEMS-based Precision Timing delivers greater accuracy, smaller size and resilience. Today, MEMS timing powers over 400 applications, including high-growth ones in AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT.

Our semiconductor MEMS programmable solutions offer a rich feature set that enables customers to differentiate their products with higher performance, smaller size, lower power, and better reliability. With more than 4 billion devices shipped, SiTime is changing the timing industry.

The Senior Financial Analyst is a business-finance partner supporting US-based R&D and SG&A Finance leaders with planning, forecasting, close, and decision support. The role owns recurring analytics and management reporting, provides timely variance and run-rate insights, and builds scalable models and templates that improve accuracy and speed for expense management. This position collaborates across time zones and works closely with Engineering, HR, Procurement, IT, and Accounting to ensure clean financial signals and actionable narratives for leadership. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Business partnering (R&D and SG&A): Serve as the primary analytical support for US-based Finance leaders; proactively surface insights on spend, headcount, and key drivers; and ensure stakeholders understand variances and levers.
  • Monthly close support: Partner with Accounting to validate accruals, reclasses, and allocations; review department expense detail for accuracy and proper coding; investigate unexpected movements; and drive issue resolution.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Maintain bottoms-up forecasts for assigned cost centers, including labor, contractors, travel, services, software, and facilities allocations; build and refresh run-rate views and scenario models for hiring, program timing, and vendor changes.
  • Headcount and labor analytics: Track headcount and labor-related spend, including FTEs, contractors, vacancies, backfills, and start dates; reconcile to HR data; and align with operating plans.
  • Variance analysis and narratives: Prepare monthly and quarterly variance explanations versus plan, forecast, and prior periods; produce concise, leadership-ready commentary highlighting root causes, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Reporting and dashboards: Deliver recurring reporting packages, including department summaries, trend charts, commitments, and forecast-to-actual views; improve automation and standardization of templates to reduce manual effort and errors.
  • Business case and ad hoc analysis: Support investment and cost optimization decisions with ROI models, sensitivity analysis, and clear decision memos.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and analysis through automation, BI tools, and standardized processes; document repeatable work instructions and assumptions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in FP&A, business finance, management reporting, or financial analysis; technology or semiconductor experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of P&L concepts and operating expense drivers, including labor, contractors, services, software, and travel, and how they flow through forecast and close.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivots, and Power Query, with demonstrated ability to build scalable, auditable models and templates.
  • Excellent written and verbal English with the ability to communicate clearly with US-based stakeholders and present concise insights and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines across time zones with strong attention to detail and an ownership mindset.
  • High integrity and comfort working with confidential finance and employee data.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and/or EPM tools such as Hyperion, and exposure to reporting platforms such as Qlik or Power BI, is preferred.
  • Experience supporting R&D organizations, including engineering cost structures, project spend, contractor management, and tools/software spend, is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or data visualization tools and the ability to automate repetitive analyses is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or an MBA is a plus.
  • It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Desired Characteristics & Attributes:

  • Demonstrates sound business judgment and strong analytical thinking in balancing financial discipline with operational needs.
  • Communicates clearly and credibly, translating financial data into concise, business-relevant insights for leadership.
  • Acts as a collaborative partner across Finance, Engineering, HR, Procurement, IT, and Accounting.
