We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a centre of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.

SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Technical Program Manager will ensure the deliverables and release for software for SiriusXM Automotive marketplace. Typical duties of the Senior Technical Program Manager will include:

  • You will assist in the alignment of development roadmaps for multiple software programs or sections of automotive software, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide input to the Software Technical Program Management leadership and other TPM’s promoting a culture of transparency and accountability to drive success.
  • Bring a lens into the development process for the many organizational stakeholders of the software team.
  • Effectively negotiating and resolving conflicts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Determine novel ways to increase coordination and attain optimal integration, fostering highly efficient teams that collaborate effectively towards common goals.
  • Identify solutions to highly complex problems, leveraging innovative thinking and creativity to drive continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Serve as a pathfinder, problem solver, and inventor of solutions sought after by others for your expertise and insights.
  • Able to steer a team to create new tools and metrics to capture the software team’s development capabilities.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate closely with the engineering team to develop contingency plans, addressing unforeseen challenges and obstacles.
  • Contribute to a team that designs, creates metrics and analytics of SW efficiency and support software maintenance of legacy Automotive programs to achieve optimal customer satisfaction including supporting the full software development lifecycle and drive strategic visions into results for the software team.
  • Prioritize customer needs without compromising program milestones and make an impact of the company’s technology to the business success of SiriusXM and incorporate it in the entire team.
  • Ensure Software Development schedules are closely integrated into the SXM new product development process-
  • Oversee scoping of new software work and ensure tracking, reporting, and timely releases/deliveries of our software products.
  • Work with the Software team and other Technical Program Management team members in deriving solution approaches, software architectures, and designs to meet the end-user needs.
  • Work with customers on the integration of our technology into their systems and utilize best practices in implementing software deliverables.
  • Understand all aspects of the software development lifecycle and apply data analytics to quantify and provide insight into process improvements.
  • Understand the features integrated into our software products from several SiriusXM brands.

What You’ll Need

  • B.S. Engineering, Engineering Management, or equivalent experience with 5 or more years of expertise in software programs and project management involving embedded, real-time software for automotive and consumer electronic products.
  • Experience with Agile methodology, including Kanban.
  • SAFe knowledge and certification is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Consumer/Automotive Cyber Security a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software process improvement initiatives and extensive experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle with Automotive Programs, Satellite module test and Satellite middleware.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment, coordinating activities of multiple teams in multiple sites, not under line management control.
  • Experience with (Jira, Jama, change management tools, and test tools).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel; experience with Python or other programming languages would be an advantage.
  • Experience with testing methodologies, best practices, and continuous integration with Software Release Management.
  • Familiarity in one or more of the following areas:
  • Android, AAOS, Linux
  • Consumer Streaming applications.
  • Satellite receivers.
  • Automotive audio and infotainment products (radio head units, navigation systems, MP3 connectivity, CD players, telematics systems, etc.).
  • Digital communications.
  • Client/server communications (e.g., P.C./device)
  • Internet Protocol products and technology.
  • IPC Mechanisms - Sockets, Message Queues, Shared Memory, etc.
  • Communication security threat identification and prevention as applicable to automotive clients using SELinux, AGLinux, QNX or AAOS.
  • Automotive/Consumer software development lifecycles.
  • Automotive SPICE methodologies and process.
