How You’ll Make An Impact
As an Engineering Intern, you’ll work with the Repeater Engineering team on qualifying SiriusXM’s first liquid cooled repeater prototype. The intern will assist with the drafting practices for its operation and maintenance. Along the way, you’ll learn how we build and maintain radio transmitters to support SiriusXM’s Repeater Network. In addition, you will collaborate with senior engineers in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for validation of design objectives.
What You’ll Do
Work with internal and cross-functional teams to complete network projects based on prioritizations. Intern will report to Fredericksburg, VA location.

What You’ll Do
Work with internal and cross-functional teams to complete network projects based on prioritizations. Intern will report to Fredericksburg, VA location.
On Any Given Day, You Might Be
- Working with cross functional team on projects.
- Conduct basic calculations and layouts.
- Hands-on work in lab coordinating tests on repeaters.
- Communicate with Managers and co-workers in formal and informal settings.
- Participate in design reviews with other engineers.
- Create engineering drawings, bills of materials and procedures.
- Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university who have finished their junior year by May 2026, those graduating by May 2025 and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
- Currently working towards a Mechanical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or other technical disciplines.
- Knowledge of mechanical & thermal fundamentals, product designs and processes for flow control devices.
- Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for documentation of test results.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organization skills.
- Must be able to work full-time during term.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
