How You’ll Make An Impact

This is the Senior Technical Project Manager role in the new live orchestration development team, which will be charged with designing, building, and supporting resilient tools enabling automated and manual live stream management at scale with a minimal operational footprint. This position is responsible for providing organizational and process expertise in a small, productive live orchestration development team as well as the larger engineering organization. This individual will be responsible for project-managing application releases, coordinating development resources, prioritizing and scheduling feature implementation, and working with stakeholders across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Apply project management principles to organize work of the live orchestration team
  • Lead the testing efforts of live orchestration team resources and, as applicable, internal end users and stakeholders on live stream orchestration applications and features
  • Track feature implementation and manage releases
  • Lead team and project meetings, keeping efforts on track with documentation of decisions and follow up
  • Support engineering leadership in prioritizing appropriate implementations and meet roadmap timelines
  • Organize and report on deliverables to senior management
  • Create and manage work tracking environments (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Support documentation creation and organization
  • Partner with engineering team on requirements gathering and project scoping
  • Liaise with internal users of live orchestration applications

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum Bachelor level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of technical project management experience
  • Technical proficiency, demonstrable in any number of ways (e.g., coding or QA)
  • A strong understanding of agile methodologies
  • A strong understanding of build and release best practices
  • Facility with Jira and Confluence software
  • Excellent professional writing skills and ability to provide verbal explanations of status and technical issues with precision and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all areas of engineering
  • Experience in broadcasting, streaming services and/or media engineering; direct experience with live orchestration a plus
  • Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under shifting deadlines
  • Dedication to thorough testing and creating high quality software

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $135,000 to 172,800 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
