How You’ll Make An Impact

As a member of the Innovation Center at Pandora/SiriusXM you will be joining a team of SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) and Test Engineers responsible for testing of SiriusXM software and products related, but not limited to in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket SiriusXM products.

The Senior Quality Engineer - Manual & Test Automation will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.

What You’ll Do

• Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
• Assist in the development of end-to-end automated & manual test cases
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
• Develop, maintain and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project
• Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management
• Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
• Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios
  
  

What You’ll Need

• BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
• At least 5 years of experience in software testing
• Experience in Android application testing on hardware
• Experience in software development and test automation
• Application of software development life cycle concept.
• Knowledge and application of at least one programming languages
• Knowledge of Ruby or Python is a plus
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience with Git is a plus
• Automotive infotainment experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Knowledgeable of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
• Tester's Mindset - Strong testing acumen as well as the technical know-how to automate the work
• Troubleshooting - Exceptional ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging automated testing methodologies
• Must be 18 years of age or older
