How You’ll Make An Impact

This position is responsible for owning the campaign quality and issue resolution for key marketing initiatives across the business that require systems support. This person would be the primary liaison between marketing, engineering, IT, and product teams for successful continuous improvement of marketing campaign development. The right person for this role will be able to oversee many complicated projects at once, provide effective solutions, lead with strong communication skills, and have acute attention to detail.

The role has a specific focus in initiatives that drive conversion and retention metrics owned by marketing. Functional areas include: billing/subscription system enhancements, marketing database development, call center/IVR/agent portal functionality, in-app push messaging, and customer onboarding web and app development. Understanding what is possible and working with the broader marketing organization to develop and prioritize impactful strategies is critical to success. As part of this dynamic and collaborative team, you will be instrumental in identifying areas of improvement and helping define and implement the solution(s).

What You’ll Do

  • Manage issue tracking and coordinate remediation of issues with development team.
  • Defect Analysis and Resolution
  • Oversee the end-to-end defect management process, ensuring the proper hand-offs and coordination between project teams.
  • Establish defect resolution metrics that quantify progress while highlighting potential areas for improvement.
  • Manage the prioritization of defects and queue workload for defect teams including identification of resource constraints.
  • Facilitate recurring conference calls to triage issues with the customer.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for campaign and analytics databases and processes
  • Identify and document defects, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and developers to ensure that requirements are properly translated into test plans and test cases
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can improve the quality marketing campaign data, segmentation, and reporting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness marketing campaigns
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accurate, complete, and timely
  • Ensure that data is properly transformed and loaded into database and downstream tools
  • Create test approach for data testing, including developing test scenarios, test cases, and test data
  • Use data testing tools to validate data quality and integrity

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business-related field or equivalent, relevant experience. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years database and/or marketing database experience or equivalent industry experience.

  • Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences as well have the ability understand issues from a Marketing and customer experience perspective.
  • Strong process orientation and expertise in documentation.
  • Excellent technical analysis, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of user acceptance testing
  • Ability to independently analyze data, identify discrepancies and inconsistencies and recommend a course of corrective action
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team–oriented work environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and good judgment
