How You’ll Make An ImpactProvide organization and process expertise to optimize our Media Distribution technology, ensuring peak performance, high availability, and stability for all of the different ways our content reaches our customers. Bring structure and process to aid our ability to execute on our goal of optimizing distribution to give our customers best in class performance whether via satellite or streaming. This role will be part of a growing organization focusing on delivering simple technical solutions to solve complex problems in the media space.
What You’ll Do
- Apply project management principles to organize work of Media Distribution Engineering organization and manage third party partners when necessary
- Implement effective engineering process across Media Distribution Engineering organization (Agile methodology preferred)
- Support engineering leadership in prioritizing appropriate implementations and meet roadmap timelines
- Organize and report on deliverables to senior management
- Create and manage work tracking environments (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Support documentation creation and organization
- Partner with engineering team on requirements gathering and project scoping
- Manage third party partners work in accordance with Media Distribution Engineering principles
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar field, or equivalent experience, in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of technical project management experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills; effectively communicate and collaborate with all areas of engineering
- Technical experience in IF/RF satellite uplink and general modulation techniques
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies
- Strong understanding of Jira and Confluence software
- Knowledge of the networking, systems or broadcast infrastructure space
- Experience in a modern streaming or broadcast distribution environment
- Build & Release best practices
- Technical experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Content Distribution Networks
- Hardware Management
- Cloud Infrastructure - AWS, GCP
- Broadcast Infrastructure
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
