How You’ll Make An ImpactSiriusXM is rapidly expanding its services to drive further engagement of consumers via smartphones, tablets, PCs, and connected devices, while continuing to maintain and grow its adoption in connected cars. This position focuses on building out and supporting the latest generation of our JavaScript-based media playback platform. As a member of the team, you will contribute to all aspects of the media platform as well as working with our other Client Engineering teams to support the integration and performance of our platform across our application suite. You will work closely with other engineers integrating the player into their applications, as well as build out the UI/UX for our players in our different products. This is a full-time position with the option to work 100% remotely for the right candidates. What You’ll DoSiriusXM is looking for a creative and collaborative Software Engineer II with experience designing and building modern JavaScript-based media player applications and their interfaces. As a member of our Client Engineering team, you will contribute to important architecture decisions and play an important role in the development of SiriusXM streaming music services, used daily by millions of listeners. What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
• 1+ years demonstrable professional experience or equivalent (such as an internship) and proven
• A strong interest in collaborating via code reviews and technical discussions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A growth mindset and an ability to learn quickly.
• Experience in developing solutions for consumer web applications.
• Exposure to audio/video streaming (HLS, AAC, MP3, MP4) is a nice to have.
• Exposure to architectural design patterns of highly scaled web applications.
• Experience writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests with Jest, Vitest, or similar.
• Experience with Webpack, Vite, or similar, and related JavaScript/TypeScript tooling.
• Experience with Core technologies Node.JS, GitHub Actions, Webpack, Vite, Nomad, Docker, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Jest, Vitest
• Ability to take part in on-call rotation to maintain key infrastructure and assist with build and deployment related issues.
• Nice to have exposure to tools & processes that enable continuous feedback loops for application development.
• Nice to have familiarity with trunk-based development.
• Nice to have experience building responsive and mobile web experiences.
• Nice to have understanding of React and related technologies.
• Nice to have experience with command of web standards, best practices, accessibility, and browser compatibility issues.
• Nice to have experience with all aspects of a streaming media application in a JavaScript-based context.
• Nice to have experience debugging and fixing performance issues in streaming applications, and optimizing playback
• Nice to have experience for devices in performance and/or bandwidth-constrained environments.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
