Job Description:

Shield AI is seeking a passionate and experienced RF Antenna Engineer to develop cutting-edge AI-driven hardware. In this high-impact role, you'll design and integrate conformal antenna and radomes for the next-generation autonomous aircraft. Your role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the reliable and resilient performance of RF systems onboard the aircraft.

What you'll do:

  • Lead radome and antenna design and requirement development efforts for RADAR and EW-resilient data links.
  • Collaborate with antenna and radome suppliers to ensure high-reliability and effective solutions.
  • Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams including structural, flight science and EW systems.
  • Analyze simulation or test data to verify performance to requirements.
  • Execute link budget analysis for airborne platforms, accounting for range, atmospheric effects, and interference.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Experience in antenna and radome design, placement, and co-site integration for large airborne systems.
  • Expertise in antenna range testing and RF system performance verification.
  • Proficiency in link budget analysis and validation.
  • Hands-on design experience using CST or HFSS.
  • Strong background in propagation modeling and validation for end-to-end RF data link systems.
  • Proficiency in using RF test and measurement equipment.
