ROLE DESCRIPTION

Are you looking for a 2 month summer job starting in July?

We pride ourselves on delivering innovative and cutting-edge technology solutions in SES. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Junior Programmer to join our team in Betzdorf, Luxembourg for a summer internship. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual looking to gain hands-on experience in software development while working on real-world projects.

Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

• Actively collaborate with our software development team in designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Java, JavaScript, and/or Python programming languages, while adhering to best practices and coding standards;
• Assist in database design, development, and optimization using SQL;
• Take a proactive role in the development of custom test frameworks, leading projects from initial concept to successful execution, while ensuring thorough testing and validation of application features;
• Utilize the Azure DevOps platform to efficiently manage tasks, collaborate with team members, track progress, and guarantee timely project delivery;
• Follow agile methodology principles to ensure streamlined and effective software development processes, adapting to changing project requirements and fostering continuous improvement;
• Develop familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana as analytics tools, integrating them into ongoing projects as needed to monitor performance, identify trends, and optimize applications.

YOUR PROFILE

1. You must have

• Currently enrolled student in or recently graduated from a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field;
• Very strong computer literacy (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access);
• Fluency in spoken and written English;
• EU-citizenship or valid work permit for Luxembourg.

2. It would be nice if you had

• Minimal understanding of SQL and relational database management systems;
• Sound knowledge of Information Technology or in a relevant area with recent development skills;
• Knowledge and/or experience either in Java, JavaScript, and Python programming languages.
