Role description summary
Validation Engineer with Python focuses on automating test procedures, developing validation frameworks, and analysing test results to ensure hardware or software meets design specifications. They use Python to script, run, and automate tests. Key tasks involve developing validation plans, managing test setups, and debugging issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Scripting: Creating and modifying Python scripts (basic/intermediate) to support validation processes and test automation frameworks.
- Test Development & Execution: Designing, documenting, and executing validation test cases (daily/weekly runs).
- Test Environment Maintenance: Configuring and maintaining test setups and hardware-in-the-loop systems.
- Analysis & Debugging: Analysing results, diagnosing issues, and reporting bugs in tracking tools like Jira/Redmine.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and validation strategy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Python Proficiency: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on Python experience for scripting and automation.
- Validation Methodologies: Strong understanding of validation principles, test planning, and defect tracking.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux and Windows development/test environments.
- Tools & Frameworks: Experience with Git, Jira, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Domain Expertise: Depending on the role, familiarity with NPU acceleration, AI modules, or embedded software.
