Senior Principal Product Manager, Space Services

The Satellite Related Services Product Manager will be responsible for managing and executing on all Satellite Related Services (SRS) products and associated services to achieve target revenues for the Company. The SRS Product Manager will be expected to provide Satellite Related Services product growth across commercial and government market segments. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert for Transfer Orbit Support business and provide creative solutions in support of the business growth. Role responsibilities include SRS Budgeting and Forecasting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Coordinate planning, execution, and maintenance of Satellite Related Services (SRS) program activities to satisfy customer requirements
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with SRS customers and 3rd party vendors
  • Prepare proposals and service requests to address new SRS requirements
  • Coordinate SRS requirements and service delivery with customers, vendors, and SES Space Systems, Satellite Operations and Engineering, and Network Operations teams
  • Manage all issues with customers and/or vendors that may impact SRS mission support
  • Ensure SRS customer and vendor purchase orders are executed in a timely manner
  • Negotiate lower SRS vendor pricing
  • Engage customers and vendors to renew and extend SRS agreements
  • Manage all internal and intercompany administration required to implement the SRS program
  • Ensure internal/intercompany processes and systems are effectively aligned to support SRS business operations
  • Provide general product support for SRS activities

COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to analyze technical documentation and create written materials that clearly communicate technical and business concepts to decision makers. Effective English language skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of the sales/buying processes and demonstrated ability to engage and develop trusting relationships with customers and partners, at all levels, and internally with Sales Directors.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team environment, while simultaneously handling multiple complex projects with demanding schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Related Field.
  • At least five years of experience writing and editing technically complex proposals in response to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, required.
  • At least five years of technical satellite communications experience.
  • Experience in satellite systems, spacecraft operations, or launch services.
  • Must have exceptional customer interface and presentation skills.
  • Must have intermediary financial skills and the ability to accurately interpret financial documents
  • Teleport Operations, Network Engineering and Project or Program Management experience is required.
  • We are seeking a fast learner who operates with a sense of urgency and accuracy.

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Hosted Payload experience
  • Space Situational Awareness Experience
  • Multi-orbit Satellite Communications knowledge
