ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

SES Germany is looking for an Engineer to join the content distribution team.
The team in Munich is directly responsible for aggregation and/or distribution of over 1000 channels & services, owned by some of the biggest content producers and broadcasters. Working in collaboration with teams across the business, you will be responsible for ensuring that Content distribution team provide a world class level of service to new and existing customers.

In what concerns the day to day activities, you will provide day to day technical oversight, support, and subject matter expertise within the team in Munich, while also work with the wider Global Services distribution team to support the many services which fall within the area of responsibility.

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):

• Maintain a high level of knowledge in the Content Distribution domain, both in traditional broadcast and the digital IP/ OTT domain
• Expertise in installing and maintaining both traditional broadcast systems and digital IP based and OTT distribution systems
• Support projects for video services implementations for individual customer or platform projects
• Provide next-level and live event support for MCR departments
• Work closely and collaboratively across the business to determine requirements for service delivery
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance, following best practice to safeguard service delivery and assure SLA targets are met

YOUR PROFILE:

Must Have

• Minimum 2 years experience working in the content distribution technology domain
• Associates degree in Engineering, Technology, or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience is beneficial
• Proficient network, IP platform, and satellite communication integration and configuration skills
• Fluent English language skills

Nice to Have

• Ability to offer creative solutions, thinking “outside the box”
• Working knowledge of DVB, IP distribution, OTT, CA systems and DRM Technologies
