(Senior) Specialist, SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The incumbent will lead the business input into the SAP S/4HANA programme and design, build and operate the future Procure-to-Pay (‘PTP’) process. S/he is responsible for supporting the PTP corporate business leadership in the design and implementation of efficient and effective PTP processes for the SES group part of which operations are expected to be operated out of the SES group’s shared service hub in Chennai once the S/4HANA application is rolled out across the combined business.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Project Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the PTP domain
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of PTP processes
- Facilitate regular meetings and updates with stakeholders
Process Design and Implementation:
- Analyse current PTP processes and identify areas for improvement
- Design and implement efficient PTP processes, leveraging S/4HANA best practices
- Ensure processes are scalable and compliant with industry standards
- Design and oversee user testing and cut-over procedures
Adoption of Out-of-the-Box Solutions:
- Promote the use of standard S/4HANA functionalities to minimize customizations
- Ensure the project adheres to the principle of adopting standard solutions wherever possible
Data Migration:
- Oversee the data migration strategy for PTP-related data
- Coordinate with IT and data teams to ensure accurate and timely data migration
- Validate data integrity and completeness post-migration
KPI Development and Monitoring:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of PTP processes
- Implement tools and dashboards for real-time KPI monitoring
- Regularly review and analyse KPIs to drive continuous improvement
Change Management:
- Develop and execute change management plans to ensure smooth adoption of new processes
- Provide training and support to end-users
- Address, resolve or escalate any issues or resistance to change
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure processes comply with regulatory requirements, including SOX compliance for the US
- Maximise the level of automation of internal controls
COMPETENCIES
A genuine specialist in S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay with hands-on experience, as well as implementation experience in the context of an international group of companies
Able to communicate clearly with, and motivate, a team of people to collaborate effectively and deliver great results
Experience in dealing with internal and external IT teams both local and remote
Autonomous, managing timelines and expectations and producing high quality deliverables
Analytical insight in identifying project risks and presenting mitigation strategies
Expertise in project management and execution methodologies
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in information technology, Engineering, or Finance
Over 5 years’ experience in S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay operations
Successful track record in end-to-end Procure-to-Pay S/4HANA implementations in large organizations (TMT sector an advantage)
Operational experience in leading and managing a Procure-to-Pay function in a shared-service envi-ronment will be an added advantage
PM / Agile certifications an advantage

Fluency both written and spoken in English
